Oli is a payment announcer. It is built to keep your information on your phone. This page says exactly what it reads, what it keeps, and what it never does.
With your permission (“notification access”), Oli reads the text of notifications from payment apps such as PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM and Navi, and bank credit alerts shown by your SMS app. It uses them only to say the amount aloud when you are paid.
You can clear the log and the history inside the app. Uninstalling Oli removes everything.
If you choose “Register your shop”, Oli opens WhatsApp with a message you can read and edit: shop name, a code, the app version and the phone model. It contains no payment details. Your mobile number is shared with Oli support only if you press Send, and we use it only to help you set up Oli and to tell you about updates. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Oli is made for shopkeepers and is not aimed at children.
